Brasil Telecom to implement WeDo Revenue Assurance Solution

WeDo has just announced that it has been selected to implement a Revenue Assurance solution for Brasil Telecom. It’s the fourth Brazilian telecom operator to benefit from WeDo Consulting’s expertise

The chosen solution, RAID (Revenue Assurance Solution), will enable Brasil Telecom to implement automatic and integrated control processes for revenue streams and platform integrity. In addition, the RAID solution makes it possible to control and detect revenue loss.

“This project strengthens the excellence of the RAID solution in the Brazilian market as a Revenue Assurance tool", added Alexandre Marques, General Manager for the Brazilian market. “RAID is currently being used by the Brazilian operators: Telefônica, Telemar, Oi and now Brasil Telecom”.
Today, the greatest challenge facing telecommunications companies in Brazil is to create shareholder value. This focus has led companies to try and increase the return on investments already made, thus improving the utilisation of installed capacity, increasing the average revenue per user and reducing costs and expenses.

About Brasil Telecom
Since 1998, Brasil Telecom has provided fixed telephone services in the Federal District and in the states of Acre, Rondônia, Tocantins, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. In July 1999, it introduced CSP 14 code for long-distance calls and in January 2004, CSP 14 began to operate for the entire country and abroad.

In addition, it offers a high-speed Internet connection (Turbo), which uses ADSL technology so that companies can have rapid access to the network without tying up telephone lines as well as 100% broadband content through its providers, BrTurbo and BrTurbo Empresas. For telephone access to the Internet, Brasil Telecom offers iBest, the second largest free Internet provider in the Brazilian market.

WeDo announces new “iDeal” solution for content partner
and management provider

WeDo has just announced its new iDeal solution, especially designed for multimedia content partner management, mobile applications, video systems or ASP applications.

iDeal consists of three main modules: a Revenue Share engine responsible for managing all the revenue share processes between the operator and each partner, and a QoS monitor to ensure a match between the shared value and quality of service of providers. In addition, the company has set up a partner management engine, automating interaction between the operator and each content provider.

Operators thus have an integrated system to manage content partners, providing not only all the support an operator needs to manage its internal processes, from signing SLAs or defining Revenue Share agreements, but also offering a portal for partners where they can view their current account, share experiences in a community of partners, keep abreast of industry news and consult the operator’s technical, marketing and legal documentation. In this way, the solution’s principal objective is achieved, which is to ensure the efficient management of the entire life cycle of the relationship between the operator and each one of its partners.

According to Pedro Teixeira, “iDeal is WeDo Soft’s response to various client and market needs. The current partner and supplier networks of fixed, mobile, IP and 3G services represent a growing challenge in which it is vital not only to manage the various entities involved but also to ensure the quality of the services provided and support flexible and robust revenue sharing models. These are the key points of iDeal”, he concluded. “One additional advantage, of equal importance, is the immediate operator access to business follow up information. Furthermore, the dynamics and transparency of the relationship can be promoted by providing automatic online information on each partner’s results and revenue.”
