UK Mobile Users Disinterested in 3G
UK consumers are finding mobile services increasingly confusing and issues around ease-of-use are still holding them back from
buying and using 3G handsets and services. Of those that did not already own a 3G phone, less than half (47%) were confident that
they would find 3G phones and services easy-to-use and only 8% of respondents are considering upgrading to a 3G phone.

Mobile Operators Spending Billions on Network Expansion in 2006
According to the latest budget figures, many mobile operators worldwide will commit increased capital
expenditure to network expansion this year, reflecting increased mobile telephone usage and growing
saturation in mature markets.

One Billion High Speed Data Users By 2012
The UMTS Forum forecasts that there will be almost one billion active users of High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) networks by 2012.
The new study also anticipates that HSPA will significantly stimulate data ARPUs, generating US$66 billion in annual revenues
for mobile operators by 2012.
