Quarterly Wireless ARPU Down Worldwide
Asia may become the largest
regional mobile telecommunications market in the world over the
next five to 10 years. In 2004, there were nearly 740 million
mobile users in Asia (including Japan, Australia, and New
Zealand) with total revenue of roughly US$180 billion. By 2009,
Asian mobile telecom revenues will reach over US$260 billion.
India will be the fastest-growing entity in this region.

Brazil Mobile Phone Subscribers Up 21.8%
Brazilian mobile phone companies
added 14.3 million customers in the first nine months of the
year, bringing the total subscriber base to 79.9 million
consumers. The market has grown 21.8% from the beginning of the
year.
