diagram retail store labor assuranceStore employees are a key contact point with customers. Having the right level of staff in store, at any time, is essential to ensure Customer Service and control labor costs. Managing staff levels efficiently requires accurate forecasting and quick response to unexpected fluctuations.

RAID Store Labor Assurance provides workforce management oversight, including all exceptions related to absences, staff rotation, the level of management resources planned and on duty other factors impacting this process on day-to-day basis. Additionally, payroll accuracy is monitored (budget, productivity, overtime and employees attrition ratios, etc.). The software continuously measures KPIs, and flags issues that require performance analysis and evaluation.

IMPLEMENT AN AUTOMATED SCHEDULE MONITORING METHODOLOGY

1. Schedule Accuracy
RAID Retail audits the overall scheduling process and seek for data accuracy issues, efficiency, trends and risk patterns.

Following the main efficiency driver, RAID Retail checks for alignment between sales and hours planned for every hour of the trading day, for every day in the week and for the week. Monitoring scheduling at the most granular level will highlight periods when a store will likely be over-staffed and under-staffed.

ASSURE THE REQUIRED LEVEL OF STAFF COMPLIANCE TO SCHEDULES

RAID Retail validates the workforce attendance in comparison with the store’s schedule. All occurrences of employees working earlier/later/longer or shorter periods than plan will result in an exception being tracked by the software.

RAID Retail also places pre-defined controls to check for data accuracy issues, compliance, abuse and fraud episodes.

ASSESS YOUR PAYROLL HEALTH

4. Payroll Health
RAID Retail provides a continuous payroll health monitoring. For instance, the software verifies if approved hours match actual hours worked, validates if resources are paid accurately and or if there is tight coordination between HR and Store Operations, which is essential to mitigate the risk of administrative errors and fraud.

Store productivity, payroll budget, actual payroll costs and employee attrition rates are also monitored in order to detect adverse trends and deviations to plan. The software uses similar stores to compare performance, detect discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
