Details on the type of records that occur in the system, verification and validation of records, with the characterization of rejected records due to content analysis, ensure the quality of records that circulate in the system. The system provides the customer with clear mechanisms for identifying rejected records, in order to guarantee that the CDRs are as expected and have no errors that jeopardize the revenue associated with the CDRs, due, for instance, to wrong or misconfigured network elements.

The system has mechanisms to recycle non-compliant records, and by applying correcting actions, reintroduce them in the data path. Statistical correlations, allow the system to establish a curve of expected values, with a pre-established range of possibilities, thus, guaranteeing that any changes in records outside the acceptable values, fire up warnings, in order to identify possible problems that may be happening. This is true for the network elements that produce records, and for consumers who receive downstream records produced by the system.

Control of all relations with producers and consumers of information, ensures that the responsible system activate warnings in case of variations in the throughput or in the connectivity status.

The technology used by the system do create machine code (not interpreted), which ensures a very high processing performance, with a low memory footprint, allowing the use of machines with very modest resources.

The availability of a telnet interface integrated with the provisioning system enables real-time change of the subscriber’s profile which modifies the way CDRs are enriched according to the instant that the event has been triggered.

Given the way the system was designed, the daily maintenance activities are performed in a full automatic way, which implies an almost zero activity by the system controllers.

The system is equipped with sophisticated cleaning up mechanisms, which ensures that the file system is always within the levels that were established as acceptable. It also has security mechanisms that warn users of fluctuations in the file systems filling rates. The system can do an automatic stop (with system manager notification), if no actions have been taken due to previous system notifications, triggered by any non complying controlling parameters.
